Regarding registration

You are welcome to come to your first class, for free, as a tryout session. This is available until the course sells out.

Write an email to info@improbrussels.com, specifying which class you would like to try out. Please note: regular registrations take priority over free tryouts, so you will be able to access the tryout session only if, in the day of the class, the group is not already sold out.

Signing up for a free tryout doesn’t automatically grant your spot in the group.
Regular registrations take precendence over tryouts, so it might sell out before your tryout class happens, in which case the tryout is not viable anymore. -
Yes.
If you have (scripted) theatre experience that will surely help you in a lot of aspects, but in unscripted we work on very specific things and techniques that you haven’t found elsewhere, unless you took Improv before.
Also, between me and you: the Beginner classes are the best :)

Yes, if the course you’re signing up for isn’t already sold out.
You can make a bank transfer to: Impro Brussels, BE06 3632 0364 0022. In the communications box, write which group you’re signing up for, and what option of registration you are choosing. For example: “Tuesday beginners, first semester”, then send the screenshot of the transfer to info@improbrussels.com.

Anyone can register to Beginners.
To register for Intermediates, you will have to have completed one year of Improv, with us or elsewhere.
To register for Advances, you will have to have completed two years of Improv, with us or elsewhere.
Anyone can register to a level they have already completed.If you have any doubts, get in touch with our Artistic Director, Pierpaolo, with a brief resume of your previous improv experiences. He will help you assess which group you are best suited for. pierpaolo@improbrussels.com

Until the end of September, there is usually some margin of flexibility for non sold-out groups.

In general, that’s not allowed. The concept of “group” is just as important (if not more) than the content of the work. So we strongly encourage each group to stay within its boundaries.

If this happens, we will examine the situation on a case-by-case basis, and try to find a solution that allows you to miss less possible classes. Especially if your professional or personal schedule changes and you can’t continue on a given day, but you could continue on another.
Talk to your teacher about it, and they will help you. -
Yes!
- Please communicate your teacher if you will be absent or late to a class.
- Please during class don’t check your phone, unless of course there is a specific reason to.
- Classes are physical, so we suggest to either come in very comfy clothes (the same kind you’d wear to a gym class), or bring a change of clothes. -
If something happens in or around Impro Brussels that makes you feel any level of “not ok”, we take that very seriously.
You can report it to your teacher, or to anyone in Impro Brussels you trust.
And/or you can report it to our Artistic Director, Pierpaolo, at pierpaolo@improbrussels.com.
If you would like to report something anonimosly, you can fill in the Report Form.
Impro Brussels will investigate thoroughly and in accordance to our Code of Conduct.

In Impro Brussels, nobody’s English is perfect :)
There are almost no native speakers, we all have English as second or third language, because we come from all over the world.
So, you’re welcome to join us! Words are not the most important part of theatre anyway. -
Yes, but you can’t re-sell anything bought from Impro Brussels at a higher price than the price you bought it for.
As per our Code of Conduct, violation of this rule will result in either suspension or expulsion from Impro Brussels. -
