Workshop: Hands - Head - Heart
There are times when being on stage can feel like a lot. You might be wondering: What should I do with my body? What should I say? What should I feel? Well, you don’t have to figure everything out at once. Your hands, head, and heart are already part of you, and they know how to work together. In this workshop, we’ll explore simple, playful ways to let one clear idea show up through your movement (hands), your thinking (head), or your emotions (heart), and see how that’s already enough to create a scene.
This workshop is built based on the Vietnamese traditional concept of the 3 aspects making one a whole human, and also represents the essentials in methodology of The Improv Hub (Hanoi, Vietnam).
Format: Kinda a Dream
What lies in the space between a memory, a nightmare, and a sweet reverie? KINDA A DREAM is to break free from traditional linear storytelling, talking-head scenes, and grounded realism.
With this format, the stage is our visual, auditory, and poetic canvas. Improvisers will build together a shared vocabulary rooted in physical choreography, spatial geometry, atmospheric light, and live vocal soundscapes. We will play in the abstract and absurdity, trusting that a shift in light, a sudden rhythmic sound, or a collective physical movement is all that is needed to unlock profound emotional connection.
Format: Past Lives
Past Lives is a format based on a popular belief in East/Southeast Asian cultures on the invisible string of fate connecting 2 souls through reincarnations.
It consists of 2 timelines switching back and forth: a past life where the 2 characters are deeply connected and one means a lot in the other's life; and a current life, after the reincarnation, where they are strangers meeting for the first time. The concept is that, the connection from the past life is so strong, that they'd be naturally drawn toward each other.
The show has been featured in Singapore, Norway, China, Vietnam, Australia, and the UK. It can even be more fun to play with multilingualism.
Workshop: Truth in the Impro
Great improvisation is born from authentic human behaviour. In this workshop, we’ll explore how emotional truth can transform our scenes. Instead of searching for what is clever or funny, we’ll learn to trust our instincts, embrace our emotions, and allow genuine human connections to shape our stories. Together, we’ll discover how to recognise and use our own emotions as creative tools. Joy, fear, tenderness, frustration, love, grief… every emotion has the power to inspire richer characters, stronger relationships, and stories that truly resonate with an audience. Paradoxically, when we stop trying to be funny and start being honest, comedy often appears naturally. Through practical exercises and scene work, we’ll develop emotional availability, deepen our listening, and learn to stay connected to ourselves and our scene partners. The result is improvisation that feels alive, surprising, and deeply human. Because the greatest gift we can offer an audience isn’t the perfect joke—it’s the truth of the moment.
Format: The Room
It’s the same hotel room, seen across different moments in time.
A couple falls in love. A family says goodbye. A secret is revealed. A dream begins. A life ends.
Different characters, eras, cultures, relationships and stories all inhabit the same space. Though separated by years—or even centuries—they echo one another in unexpected ways. The room remembers everything.
Blending intimate storytelling with moments of magical realism, The Room invites the audience into a world where time bends and lives overlap. The past, present and future briefly coexist, allowing forgotten memories, unseen connections and impossible encounters to emerge.
A single room. Countless lives. Infinite stories.
Workshop: Kurosawa Impro
One of the things I care about most in improv is how much we talk — and how often we talk because we're afraid of doing nothing. In this workshop, inspired by the essence of Akira Kurosawa's films, we'll explore pause and action. How can we stop explaining, trust silence, and let physical action give power to a scene?
Format: Impro Clown
My main question is: How can we create an improv show where performers don't need to be funny or clever, but the audience falls in love with the performers themselves?
Through vulnerability, playfulness, flop, and connection with the audience, I'd like to explore what happens when we bring the spirit of clown into improv. Over the two days, we could eventually develop these ideas into a performance format that the Brussels community can continue to explore and be inspired by.

Workshop: The Power of Emotions
There is nothing more important in an artistic act than connection. Audiences around the world, no matter which culture they come from, crave to witness that truthful moment when everything seems possible. From love to hate, from peace to anger, from boredom to impatience, the range expands and excites them as the minutes go by.
As performers, I feel it is our duty to polish and master them as thoroughly as possible and this workshop is about that. We will explore various techniques of accessing and portraying your emotions on stage. We will invent personal channels of expression, we will demolish myths of what is possible and impossible, we will discover and implement. After working together, you will feel more confident in your instincts and craftsmanship.
What you will learn:
how to embody different emotions in an honest, believable way on stage
how to use your personal experience and transform it in your unique advantage as a performer
how to connect with your scenes partners simple, yet powerful
how to support the story of the scene by being present and hooked on to your instincts
Workshop: Scenes for a Marriage
Inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s iconic 1973 drama and the 2021 spectacular HBO remake, this improvised longform narrative dissects the very essence of relationships, from every possible angle. The movie tackles the hardship and beauty of partnerships in unique and candid ways, inviting the audience to witness a very intimate dialogue between all parties involved. The show will be bold, powerful, uncomfortable, tender and surprising. And in the midst of breaking down the powerful relationship archetype that is marriage, the audience may even see their own reflection.
Workshop: Three is a Crowd
Being full of energy on stage with your friends is just the best, isn’t it? But do you sometimes feel like it gets messy, if there is more than two people on stage? You and the audience can’t follow what’s going on because too many things are happening at the same time?
In this workshop we’ll explore how to “tame the chaos”. Instead of everyone doing their own thing dragging the scene into different directions we’ll try to unite and pull together into one.
Format: Authentic Play
Doing improv is already scary for the majority of people. Doing so in front of others? Even scarier. Adding truth and vulnerability to the mix makes you part of the bravest people out there. Why do it anyway? Because it’s the best! I believe that it is where the most unique stories can be found. Come join the fun!
In this workshop, we explore the facet of authenticity on stage. Participants will be guided to slowly discover their relationships with their stage partners and allow themselves to change in the process.
